What You'll Do
As a Software Engineer at Riskonnect, your primary focus will be on building resilient architecture, ensuring code quality, and modernizing enterprise applications.
- Modernize or replace legacy enterprise applications.
- Understand large, unfamiliar codebases quickly and reason about intent versus implementation.
- Work comfortably with AI-generated code and improve it where needed.
- Design meaningful tests beyond “happy path” scenarios.
- Challenge assumptions, validate correctness, and maintain a high attention to detail and quality.
- Document findings clearly through both written and verbal communication.
- Work independently with minimal handholding to deliver results.

What You Need (Requirements)
To qualify for this engineering role, candidates must possess the following technical expertise and professional experience.
- 5 to 6 years of proven software engineering experience.
- Strong core expertise with C# and modern .NET (.NET 8).
- Preferred experience with WPF and other .NET UI frameworks.
- Deep understanding of Dependency Injection, Asynchronous programming (async/await), Exception handling, and resilience patterns.
- Solid grasp of SOLID principles and clean architecture.
- Experience working with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude and Copilot.
- Strong experience with unit testing frameworks including xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest.
- Familiarity with mocking frameworks.
