What You'll Do

As a DevOps Engineer, you will bridge the gap between software development and infrastructure operations to ensure system reliability and operational excellence.

  • Drive platform reliability, troubleshoot complex issues within the production environment, and serve customers through on-call rotations to identify end-user problems.

  • Lead postmortems and write root cause analyses.

  • Assist in automating infrastructure provisioning via configuration management tools and scripts.

  • Apply industry-accepted best practices for operational activities such as environment monitoring, deployment automation, security hardening, activity auditing, and configuration management.

What You Need (Requirements)

To be successful in this role, you must have strong hands-on experience with Linux administration, containerization, and configuration management tools.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.

  • 3-4 years of recent Linux/Unix administration (particularly with RedHat systems) and troubleshooting in a diverse technical environment.

  • 3-4 years of scripting experience using Python, Bash, Groovy, or similar languages.

  • Good understanding of CI/CD workflows and version control systems like Git and GitHub.

  • Expertise in administering and securing managed DevOps tools like Enterprise Jenkins or GitHub Actions.

  • Experience working with cloud platforms (including AWS EC2, RDS, ELB, and EKS) and 2+ years deploying applications to Kubernetes in a production environment.

  • Production experience creating and using Docker images and containers.

  • Experience with configuration management platforms, tools, and processes, preferably Puppet or Terraform.

  • Experience working with REST APIs, networking (OSI layers, DNS), and reverse proxy systems (Nginx, HAProxy, Apache).

  • Solid understanding of modern software development practices and Agile Scrum methodologies.

  • Ability to leverage AI-assisted development tools and workflows to accelerate automation, enhance code quality, and streamline troubleshooting.
