What You'll Do
As an Engineer Automation Quality, your primary focus will be designing automated test scripts and managing the end-to-end defect tracking process.
- Design and develop moderately complex automated test scripts.
- Execute moderately complex automated test cases and report results.
- Identify, document, and track software defects independently to resolution using defect tracking tools like JIRA.
- Provide strong, clear, and concise documentation for test cases, test results, and defects.
- Collaborate with the software engineering team to gain a strong understanding of application functionality and testing requirements.
- Maintain and update moderately complex, existing automated test scripts, ensuring they reflect the latest application changes.
- Follow and make recommendations regarding automation best practices.
- Provide guidance to associate automation quality engineers, helping them improve their skills and understanding of automation.
- Perform manual testing when needed.

What You Need (Requirements)
To qualify for this quality engineering role, candidates must meet the following experience, educational, and technical skill requirements.
- 2-4 years of overall testing experience with 1-2 years of automation testing experience or equivalent automation training.
- Proficiency in the Java programming language (Core concepts).
- Strong understanding of and experience with requirement analysis.
- Strong experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, Karate, JUnit, and TestNG, along with excellent debugging skills.
- Experience using version control systems like Git.
- Knowledge of BDD frameworks, particularly Cucumber.
- Familiarity with SQL and database testing.
- Experience executing UI and API functional testing.
- Experience using JIRA and ZE management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to analyze test results and identify issues.
- Good knowledge of continuous integration tools like Jenkins is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
