What You'll Do
As a JavaScript Developer at FrontM, your daily responsibilities will be dynamically split across application development, framework development, and AI-assisted engineering.
- Build micro-apps utilizing the proprietary frontm.ai framework by implementing intent-based architectures, designing responsive UIs, and integrating AWS services including Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, and Bedrock.
- Develop conversational AI features and real-time capabilities such as messaging, video, and notifications.
- Enhance the core frontm.ai framework by building reusable components, patterns, and accelerators to improve performance in low-bandwidth environments.
- Support future architectural migrations toward TypeScript and Rust components.
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code for efficient coding, writing and refining prompts for code generation, and validating AI-generated code.
- Build AI assistants using the skills layer via AWS Bedrock and OpenAI.

What You Need (Requirements)
Candidates must bring a strong technical background, cloud expertise, and hands-on proficiency in modern JavaScript and AI tooling.
- Hold a degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Possess 5+ years of professional software development experience, specifically with JavaScript and TypeScript, encompassing modular design and asynchronous patterns.
- Bring at least 2 years of experience with serverless AWS architectures (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB) and microservices.
- Demonstrate at least 1 year of experience in AI-assisted development, including hands-on use of Claude Code or similar tools, prompt engineering, and conversational AI.
- Maintain strong problem-solving skills, experience managing MongoDB databases, and a solid grasp of REST APIs and CI/CD pipelines.
