What You'll Do
As a Software Engineer – Backend at Haptik, your daily responsibilities will revolve around blending backend web technologies with Haptik’s proprietary tools to deliver robust, intelligent chatbot integrations.
- Work on multiple client integrations in parallel by developing and integrating various web-based APIs and systems that form the core logic flows for chatbots.
- Collaborate closely with a cross-functional Agile team of Program Managers, Engineering Managers, UX specialists, and QA Engineers.
- Partner with the conversation design team to build seamless chat and voice-based conversational flows.
- Model database architecture optimized for high performance and massive scalability.
- Participate actively in code reviews, automated and functional testing, and client validation processes.
- Strictly abide by secure data handling practices to safeguard sensitive user data, including Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Create professional technical documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.

What You Need (Requirements)
Candidates must possess a strong technical foundation, a hustler mentality, and deep expertise in backend web technologies.
- Hold a Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Engineering (IIT or NIT graduates preferred).
